We will use the TCSP site as a base for our explorations, both by car and on bicycle. We will hit Mears State Park on the way up, and at this point are thinking to stay at Harrisville State Park and Bay City state parks on Lake Huron. I will look at Hartwick Pines and Interlochen. I haven't camped there yet, but I've driven through it and it's on my list of places to try.Dawnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00824027366993286152noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4107769989561591314.post-71773371990528861462021-04-08T10:31:35.284-05:002021-04-08T10:31:35.284-05:00Michigan in the fall! You will have such a good t...Michigan in the fall! You will have such a good time! It's my state, and I've camped (tent) at a few state parks. There's quite a bit of hiking at Hartwick Pines in the middle of the lower peninsualia. Some of the state parks are pretty crowded with small sites, but I like Hartwick Pines. Are you staying at the Traverse City state park? That one is pretty crowded too. Or at Interlochen, just south of TRavers City? I thought those were small sites too... And where are you staying over on Lake Huron? I haven't camped at Tawas, though I've walked on the beach there, it's pretty, can't remember the campground though. I did camp at Harrisville, and enjoyed that, had a site right on the water. Soooo many beautiful places to stay, I want you to see ALL of the!
