It doesn't collect a lot of water, though. It's small. I use my Pro Breeze to keep the humidity down inside my trailer when it's humid during the summer and it's at home in between trips. I've not used it while camping. Also, it won't work in freezing temperatures. I'm not completely sold on the unit, but it does keep the humidity down in my camper during the summer when it's closed up and I'm not using it.Tom Keplerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11213713830938688817noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4107769989561591314.post-5716923168760615452019-12-17T03:22:59.354-06:002019-12-17T03:22:59.354-06:00I have never used Pro Breeze dehumidifier. My "standy" usually allows just having the vent open--so far, anyway!Tom Keplerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11213713830938688817noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4107769989561591314.post-472041584617933252019-08-12T09:32:24.284-05:002019-08-12T09:32:24.284-05:00I added a PWM "Pulse Width Modulator" an...I added a PWM "Pulse Width Modulator" and a ceramic resister to the Magic fan to better control the fan speed as it's three position switch was still to fast on low. Just adding the resister cuts the speed by half. Now camping in the cold it will still get cold in the camper at night, but the air movement is slower so we don't feel it blowing like before.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16890263405449868824noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4107769989561591314.post-65433983708729121862019-04-12T06:22:09.406-05:002019-04-12T06:22:09.406-05:00Everything I read about condensation while camping...Everything I read about condensation while camping included the importance of venting and air circulation. Thank you for relating that this is true also for tents and pop-ups. I know that when bicycle camping and sleeping in a one-person tent, having venting is important, too.Tom Keplerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11213713830938688817noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4107769989561591314.post-81949140999790981642019-04-11T17:57:05.691-05:002019-04-11T17:57:05.691-05:00When I tent camped and now in my pop up I keep a s...When I tent camped and now in my pop up I keep a small oscillating fan going st all time. Tenting I also had a small plastic box fan for venting. In the pop up I run the ac or fan. Many times up here temps are well below freezing and for weeks at a time. Protecting water lines from freezing and your entire unit from moisture is a constant, but with diligence and a few simple mods it can be done to create an enjoyable cold weather camping experience. We put 1 inch foamboard under our mattress. Bubble wrap cut to fit on all the windows. Spray window lightly with water and apply bubble side against the glass. Keeps cold air out and still allows light in. Also it's a PITA to do, but we line wardrobes with bubble wrap to keep clothes dry.

We camp off grid, so power comes from solar and heat is from our propane furnace. We always have the vent on main area cracked as well as a window in the cabover. Heat is set between 55-65 depending on whether we are in the camper or not and how cold it is outside. We turn it down at night and if we are outside. We have 3 Fantastic fans. I always have at least 1 running when I cook and usually turn the one in the cabover on for at least an hour during the day to help circulate the air. Also we usually have some DampRid in the camper.Tom Keplerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11213713830938688817noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4107769989561591314.post-45592208679446021722019-04-11T09:36:33.110-05:002019-04-11T09:36:33.110-05:00Great, informative read.
